Striated crumbles of sand stud the shoreline, their abrasive roughness counterpointing the smooth, silken, frothy waves. As the tide ebbs and flows, a subterranean undersea life springs to life. As the sunlight expands and stretches to the horizon an incandescence permeates. The waves are dappled with silvered depths and glint and irradiate with flashing arabesques of luminosity. The wave advances, pauses and leaves behind sedimented remnants. Another wave spills forward and retreats, carrying back sediments whilst depositing fresh ones. The waves glitter oleaginously with unctuous foams sprinkling the water with streaks of foamy softness. At the far horizon the temporality of the land and water becomes indistinguishable. All that is seen is a point, a line of coalescence receding further and further.

In the phosphorescent penumbra, the waves gleam iridescently. The opalescent dusk obliterates traces of diurnality and brings into being spectral presences which peal forth twittering carillons of sporadic shreiks interspersed with fathomless silence of unparalleled depth. The suffusion of life, its sinewy tissues loosened by day contract into fluidly intractable whorls. While freneticism proceeds unceasingly its importunate rhythms are slowed, rendered tenebrous . But the immitigable spray of human continuance, undeterred by mortal depredations, moves on and on.
