MIRROR

Sifting through the rubble
Of a myriad of banalities
Sorting the congealed
Emblems of tenuous love
I, could, pillage, despoil,
Destroy, obliterate the physical
Remnants, the material effluvia
Of our being but am balked,
Inexorably, into reliving
The mnemonics of a shared
Illusion, a potent deception of
A love that was, therefore it came to be
But, lodged in the aegis of solipsism
Became, a self absorbed externality
A projected inwardness
A self reflecting mirror.
