Whether you are card carrying
Or a political incendiarist
An armchair thinker
A writer or poet
You change and are changed.

Within your polemical aegis
You annihilate the egoist
And transform a nascent thought
Into life affirming intention.

You may eschew commitment
Or speak for yourself
But your words irradiate
Multitudes of the rabble.

You may move mountains of faith
Or crystallize a revolution
But frenetic flux is your fruit
Stirred up through impassioned rhetoric.

By balancing strident rhetoric
With imaginative artistry
You realign the personal
And make it political.
